Cake Balls

I saw these on a friends blog a few months ago and have been wanting a reason to make them. Tonight a friend is having a ladies night so...

These are super easy and yummy.

Cake Balls
1 cake mix and ingredients to make it
1 can frosting
dipping chocolates( I used 2 Wilton bags)

Bake cake, cool. crumble cake in mixing bowl add frosting and mix. Form into balls mine were just bigger then a quarter. Chill this hardens the frosting and they stay intact for dipping.

Melt chocolate and dip.

I used different chocolates so I used different sprinkles to tell them apart.

I had a little chocolate left over so I dipped some strawberries I had on hand, for my Sweetie.

I tried these too recently... the dipping part didn't work so good and they all fell apart :(

Chilling helped a ton with the falling apart. Also I first tried to just melt chocolate chips but that didn't work too good. I went and got Wilton dipping chocolate.

I made and dipped some cake balls last night and they were fantastic! My chocolate didn't come out as smooth on my balls as yours did...what's the secret?

Thanks again!!!
